At EAST, some traditions go beyond the day-to-day, they bring people together, celebrate friendly competition, and make a lasting impact. The HV/LV Cup 2025, held on 20th June at Swaffham Golf Club, was one of those special days.
Now in its third year, the HV/LV Cup has become a regular fixture on our calendar. More than just a golf match, it’s a day of connection, healthy competition, and community. This year, we went head-to-head once again with our friends at Wisbech Electrical Ltd and while EAST came away with a 15–2 win, the real highlight was raising a fantastic £8,176.50 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.
A Day Full of Energy (and a Few Unforgettable Shots)
With 24 players taking part, the atmosphere was brilliant right from the first tee. The morning saw us paired up for an 18-hole Ryder Cup-style match play, with the action heating up in the afternoon for some spirited 1v1 match play over 9 holes.
In true HV/LV Cup fashion, the day included a few extra challenges too:
Longest Drive on holes 9 and 15
Closest to the Pin on holes 6 and 16
There were laughs, friendly rivalries, and a few standout moments, including Badger (Lee Garrod) from Wisbech sinking two backward putts from over 10 feet. It’s moments like that that remind us why we look forward to this day every year.
A Charity Close to Home
Supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity has always been a cause close to many hearts within EAST. Over the years, our charity events and fundraising have raised over £29,000 and this year’s total pushes us even closer to our long-term goal of making a real and lasting difference.
Whether through donations, playing on the day, or simply spreading the word, we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who took part and supported the cause.

Looking Ahead
With the sun shining, spirits high, and another brilliant year of fundraising behind us, we’re already looking forward to doing it all again in 2026. These events remind us of what EAST is all about. Bringing people together, supporting causes and give something back.
