HSQE Advisor

Our HSQE team are looking for a HSQE Advisor who will work across our business, promoting health, safety and environmental good practice as well as ensuring compliance to all internal and external processes and legislation.

 JOB SUMMARY 

The role will involve supporting our operational teams with site visits and audits, CDM preparation for upcoming major projects, updating policies/procedures and providing general HSE advise and guidance. 

 What You Will Do 

  • Ensure company compliance to all relevant HSE policy and procedures, relevant legislation and guidance.

  • Updating company management systems for health, safety, environment and quality.

  • Conduct in-house HSE training.

  • Liaise with clients, and others stakeholders on HSQE related issues and best practice.

  • Assist project managers with regards to CDM requirements and production of Construction Phase Plans.

  • Investigating incidents and producing detailed reports identifying root causes and recommendations for improvement.

  • Carries out analysis of accident/incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans.

  • Raise awareness on HSE issues through toolbox talks and briefings.

  • Conducts training for new starters with regards to company documents, systems and processes.

  • Good Understanding of ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 and general principles of internal auditing and on-site auditing.

  • Ensure adherence to all company accreditations, including annual renewals and managing all external audits to ensure they are passed as required. 

  • Conduct onsite HSE inspections to monitor company performance. 

  • Ensuring all documents are quality checked and that any update/reviews/changes are logged and conducted as required. 

  • Conduct internal document audits to ensure processes and procedures are complied with.

  • Conduct subcontractor audits and review/approve new subcontractor applications. Ensure compliance to company HSQE standards and requirements. 

  • Completion of pre-qualification questionnaires and annual customer documentation/information updates.

 Ideal Candidate Experience

  • NEBOSH/IOSH Qualification.

  • Familiar with NERS.

  • Auditing experience with internal audits and external audits and on site reviews.

  • Health and Safety experience within an engineering/construction business. 

  • Full clean driving license.

  • Good IT skills.
