
Our Operations & Maintenance team is responsible for maintaining and inspecting HV and LV assets under ongoing maintenance agreements, as well as working on installation jobs across various sites including wind (onshore and offshore), solar, AD, and battery storage.

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking O&M Engineers to join our Operations and Maintenance team. Due to growth we have vacancies in both our North region (Scotland and Northern England) and South region(Midlands, Yorkshire and South East). This position involves overseeing and managing all aspects of high voltage operations and maintenance projects, from planning to execution and completion, including undertaking HV switching up to 132kV and managing small remedial works. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, excellent project management skills, and a keen understanding of high voltage systems.
What You Will Do

Perform routine, scheduled, reactive and preventative inspection and maintenance of HV/LV equipment up to 132kV.

Plan, execute and oversee HV switching schedules to achieve safety from the system.

Manage fault location, diagnostics, repair and response activities.

Produce remedial works quotations.

Compile work packages, job instructions, and RAMS

Coordinate the work of technicians, craftspeople, and subcontractors.

Manage individual project resource allocation.

Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and other interested parties to ensure individual project objectives, deliverables, and expectations are managed/maintained.

Ensure safety from the system - including safety documentation in accordance with company/customer safety rules and operational procedures.

Testing installations and systems, analysing test data and compiling test reports.

Ensure all works meet safety requirements/regulations and company QMS standards.

Ideal Candidate Experience
-
SAP up to and including 33kV. (132kV would be advantageous).

HNC in Electrical Engineering, ideally in Power Distribution, or equivalent.

Experience in private networks and/or the renewable energy sector.

Experience with electrical testing (IR, continuity, pressure, VLF, Ductor) and fault detection techniques.

Familiarity with current Health & Safety legislation.

GWO certifications for onshore wind farm work.

Emergency First Aid & Manual Handling.

Full clean driving license.​
